Schmitt and Brandt play together in Wall of Fog and with a wide array of collaborators that have included Jessica Pavone, Burton Greene and on this ocassion Bruce Ackely, founding member of Rova Saxophone Quartet. Ackley is a self-taught woodwinds virtuoso whose collaborators have included John Zorn, Eugene Chadbourne, Ikue Mori, Fred Frith, Miya Masaoka and the members of several epic orchestras assembled by Rova to perform Coltrane's "Electric Ascension."

Thea Farhadian

Celebrating the release of her new album "Tattoos and Other Markings" where she integrates contemporary field recordings from Armenia and Egypt with mechanical sounds from a letterpress and MRI Machine, Farhadian brings classical training in violin to her explorations with electronics and deep forays into Arabic classical music achieving a sound described by critics as a "beautiful grimness." Known for her work with violin and interactive electronics, Farhadian will present a set of solo pieces and speak about her new CD at the Peacock Lounge.

Aaron Oppenheim

Sound vivisection and heavy DSP processing rooted in raw synthesis, Oppenheim explores hidden chaos at the heart of computer systems and natural systems alike. His recent work grapples with cheap and obsolete electronics to create pseudo-natural processes and spontaneous compositions. As a composer and performer, his recordings are available on Full Spectrum Records, Geomancy Records, and Other Minds.

Kevin Robinson

Deep tone practitioner, Robinson never met a woodwind he couldn't extend beyond above and below the horizon. Drawing back veils of resonance ever thinner until only a silent glimpse remains, ecstatic astonishment of the unknownable, a deity's-eye-view of darshana.
